  2. Honestly dude, all I'd do is paint that odd salmon coloured wall and bench and get on with life. Kitchen and Bathrooms both look pretty tidy and function so unless they are falling apart I'd run with it to save the $'s in the short term.

  3. 3x2 + study/extra living area + storage room 385sqm block Double lock up garage Wooden floorboards through entry, living/dining/kitchen area and hallway Wooden decked alfresco Large paved patio Massive high ceilings Ducted reverse cycle aircon to whole house + separate split system in master Alarm View to park with lake across the street Needs painting and a new kitchen, new bathrooms etc eventually but it's plenty live-able for now. The glass mosaic is a bit...interesting, as are the terracotta walls...but that can all be fixed. Pics:

  4. Whereabouts Dan? Also given you have now aquire real estate, and monthly out goings have reduced it must be time to flick the hoonda and get back into a turbo? I'll even do you mates rates on an IMS diff hat install to sweeten the deal

  5. Cheers fellas. Agreed on a price with the owner, subject to finance and inspections etc. Start going through all the paperwork with a settlement agent today hopefully, good times. Finance won't be a problem, bank have already said so...so that's cool. Got a nice surprise also, turns out my Nonna had left me a few grand for my folks to give to me when I bought my own place. Works out to cost me $400 a month less dead money to own it than it is to currently rent it, in that the interest portion of the mortgage payments is $400 less a month than what I'm currently paying in rent. So I'd chalk that up to a win [emoji4]

  11. yer the 3rd party stuff and bloat I had to get rid of. theres a few tweaks I prob still need to do like remove stuff I dont need and that drains the background tasks etc.. dunno of technical words for it. while im waiting to save up for my hectic fan mods. ended up going for the thermaltake ring fans. half the price of the corsair ones. they were nearly 50 each. fk. thermaltake ones half that. so I finally got myself a hectic new mouse pad thing. the hard plastic sh*t ive had for years was pissing me off and wearing out my mouse pad things. ffs got timed out pos forum was going to say the plastic pad was wearing out the pads under the mouse and was getting tacky and the mouse was catching. making my scoping hard work. new pad is soooooo smooth.

  14. That house has some funky sh- t. Garage big enough for a car and a couple of motorbikes. Yep hard to fit 4 x 2 on the tiny blocks theses days. And now sheds are out of the question. Shame.

  16. Garage skid pics not loading PS I spent money on car, unexpected plane tickets, shipping boxes and a cremation instead of installing flooring in house. Tiling we want is like 17 to 20 grand so it's going to be a few years of concrete floors :/ Could run nines for that these days hahaha Edit Oh and yeah the 20m cable is temporary but will likely live there for a long while...sync was 7616kbps if I recall correctly. Upload only 384kbps, seems I've maxed out the ADSL 1 port and I'm 4.5km by road from the exchange. Advantage of semi rural - thicker copper wire used for phone lines = less attenuation as you know, so in human terms it effectively acts like a shorter cable would in the suburbs speed wise. Best "real world" result from speedtest.net was 6.9Mbps A.K.A. roughly 750KB/second so about 0.75MB (Megabytes) a second. Don't you just love computer metrics...

  20. Money eaters they can be, that is for sure. Everything thing has it +\- Renting = don't have to fix anything. inspections Owning =have to fix everything no inspections. Best thing is it will be yours to do whatever the fark ya want to do to it. Good work Dan. Sounds like it's in a perfect location for ya as well. Hope it all goes smoothly for ya and you'll be a new homowner in no time. P.S. got love the Nonna.

  21. Sweet, nice one mate. If you thought modded car where expensive you're in for a shock. Houses swallow money like nobodies business!

  22. Good news man. It's amazing how much cheaper it is and money you save in equity by owning vs renting.

  23. definitely a win... plus the fact you're getting out of being stooged for rent money that was clearly too high

  29. Since I finally got ADSL connected at the new house two days ago I decided I better run a cable properly instead of leaving it like this to get shut in the garage door and chewed up Made use of the extra garage wall plate that the builder had to fit for when NBN eventually arrives in 50 years. Also got the shortest length of phone cable I could to the modem to maximise sync speed Had opted for conduit on the solid internal walls with blank plates which made life easy! No shortage of cable either (pings haven't changed at all thankfully). Looped it around a roof beam to keep it overhead on the way over to the conduit pipe. The PC is against the outer wall though and those don't have blanks - I'd rather let a pro drill and fit a network plate as needed. Instead, I ran a cable straight from PC to modem though a blank plate (hole saw mod) on the next wall. It will do nicely though until we get a sparkie in one day to fit the fancy lights etc At least this way I am not surfing over wifi and the cable isn't a trip hazard and being crushed by the door!

  30. Couple of small updates,I changed rocker cover/cam cover to one I got some -12 fittings welded on. Has dash -12 hose down to a catch can mounted down on chasis rail. All painted black and hidden away to the untrained eye. I was also keen to go back to CMS and had another pound or 2 of boost on the e85 tune,to take it up around 20psi.I booked it in with Joe and we threw it on the roller's with my new 20'' lenso's on.Joe noticed the change of wheels and said it would effect the dyno figures.Anyways on the factory 19s previously it spun up 441rwks@18psi, with the 20'' wheels it spun up 414rwkws. I was a little surprised but Joe assured me this was not unusual going to a bigger wheel setup. After Joe added 1.5psi of boost on the 20'' wheels making it around 19.5psi the car finished with 430rwkws. Happy with this about a week later I noticed Ozywalker had his process west stage 3 cooler for sale, I had always kicked myself I went plaz stage 3 not pw stage 3. So I bought the pw stage 3 and replaced the plaz for the pw stage 3.And sold the plaz stage 3 off.I brought the car back to CMS just to check the tune, with the pw stage 3 Joe had to take around 10% boost out as the pw stage 3 was so much more efficient. I was a little sceptical as I didn't want to reduced boost.Luckily Joe did and she still made 21psi off boost, after a little more fiddling joe brought it down with a peak of just on 20psi tapering to a flat 19psi,and spun up 458.6 kws at the wheels again on the larger 20'' wheels. Very impressed with the process west stage 3 cooler, much more efficient than the plaz stage 3 cooler I had previously. And as usual,a big thanks to Joe and the Cms team, the car is very impressive now.
