A bit of an update for the Rolls software. As some of you know I am the one helping Rolls in the background hunting through the assembler and finding new parameters and have just completed initial testing on a new feature for this software. I have been able to track down the independent control of the exhaust cam for the XR6 turbo and yes we have control There is a bunch of tables missing from the other products that I have found and have them in for the first release (TBA). An interesting one based on vehicle speed but currently a constant. So now the fun will begin. IH8TOADS pointed out we could do ghost cams and we have someone testing this as well. So higher overlap cams may be controllable at idle as well as removing the stuff Ford put in to reduce back pressure in the higher rev range due to the factory exhaust. I believe this is a first for us. We have been told it is not in other products.9 points

Easiest/best is to get an independent valuation done (not an agent) Valuation will give an honest idea of what the place is worth rather than an agents "pulled out of their arse to make the person asking interested" price They also won't have any vested interests.5 points

My best lap of the day (and probably the clearest lap I had - Blue XR6 I had to change lines for at the start of the lap (is one of the mates who came) and the XR8 that slowed me down from Lukey were the only traffic) Not quite what you expect to see at the entrance to the Southern Loop (Cape Barren Geese wandering across the road)3 points

What puff said. Do a goggle search using the property address and you'll find the most recent sale price of said property and probably others in close proximity.2 points

Won't be choosing the "Slow Group" next time - just far too many cars on the track. Red Maloo is my step son2 points

Yeah, I grabbed his number and said I'd like to get some valuations done first and would then get in contact from there. Plan is to get a few done and see if the price he was talking is reasonable. If so then I'll probably buy it. Would make it pretty easy not having to move haha.1 point

Six pack or slab is my usual mates rate (depending on the work/time needed) So yeah - $150 for Freaky1 point

Easiest is to do what boxy said which was what I had in mind. This is more of a general thing to do when browsing dozens of properties. In this case, as there is already a property chosen for purchase you should get an independent valuation and building inspection. You don't want to buy a nice looking house only to find out that it needs underpinning (like houses in Freeling) or something stupid like that.1 point

Here's one I recorded one Sunday arvo In Bamako, Mali. What a funny afternoon that was !1 point

We didn't see it, but heard a huge rev up then a massive bang. It was a way from where most people had parked, so I gather he has tried to do epic entrance and turned it into a epic fail. Explain this one to misses or the boss on monday or the insurance company. Hahaha.1 point

The INF/chipset driver is the main one that Windows won't update. http://download.gigabyte.asia/FileList/Driver/mb_driver_chipset_intel_w10.zip Install APP center and let it do its stuff http://download.gigabyte.asia/FileList/Utility/mb_utility_appcenter.zip Should be able to update the BIOS from within it or by adding @BIOS to the app center http://download.gigabyte.asia/FileList/Utility/mb_utility_atbios.zip Latest BIOS is here if the @BIOS app can't find it and you need to point the app at it. (Check your current firmware - ignore if it's already F8 http://download.gigabyte.asia/FileList/BIOS/mb_bios_ga-z97x-gaming3_f8d.zip If the computer if fine after all that then leave it be. If you're having issues with anything then grab the drivers for it. Let the App Center do whatever updates it needs to. Otherwise: IF IT AIN'T BROKE - DON'T FIX IT1 point

Thanks for the advice gents! Looks like the kids are going to lose a pool toy. Actually took it for a drive last night and did one in my garage for the kids. It just clocked up 52k now!1 point

Sooooo the owner of the rental I'm currently in got my letter and dropped by for a chat this morning. They'd happily sell the house to me, which is cool...but now it's trying to figure out if the price range he's suggested is fair and if I want to pay that much...1 point

Haha whs. I started to write a response but no point now as that is exactly what I was going to write.1 point

Drivers for what? First I do when the system is up and running is update the motherboard drivers from the manufacturer. Then the motherboard firmware. The the graphics card from nVidia or AMD (I don't use the brands drivers, just the official ones) Then let windows do it's updates. Once that's all stable I get any print drivers, soundcards drivers, etc for any extra hardware. Then I install any office products, run updates Then install the other stuff. If you have a steam library etc on a different computer you can usually copy the files to the correct place and let steam do it's stuff instead of having to download everything again.1 point

1. The door seals is normal. Get some silicon filler/glue stuff and put 'em back in place. 2. Never heard of that happening, but it'll likely be a tiny piece of snapped plastic. If you can pull it apart and have a look and find the bit, superglue should hold it back together. If not, get a new one from a wrecker. 3. Tuned? if so, take it to the tuner. If not tuned, clean up throttle body and turbo piping, then check PCV valve to make sure it's correctly sealing.1 point

Trent0 I am not going to waste my energy on you , have seen your car up close that's enough for me lol . The reason the fan swich drained my battery is I hooked up the yellow wire to direct positive and not to a ignition point . But as the last owner never even had the yellow wire hooked up at all as it was taped up with other wires with insulation tape . Which meant the fan would have never turned on at all . The reason it was so much of a pain to do the wiering again have a look for your self . To find the problem took me 4 hrs plus as I totaly took everything apart again . All becouse somone said she will be right mate trust me it was all working on my car before I sold it to you .now all I have to do is run that blue cable to a ignition point , ps it is acturaly the yelow cable from the controller .1 point

I would like to down the track, initially I'll be offering live map tracing as this is still a huge improvement over guessing that what we are datalogging is actually what is being used by the map like we do currently. Live tuning is quite a bit of work and there is a lot of other basic stuff I need to get nailed first. Noob friendly is the goal, even experienced tuners can benefit from an intuitive ui with lots of help and explanations right in front of you. None of this reading 8000 forum threads to figure out where to start. That is the goal anyway, I'll do my best.1 point

Pedders $28 safety check should come up with some answers. It could be ball joints, steering rack loose, sway bar pins or mounts, stuffed shocks, busted steering column and maybe even wheel bearings. One of those at a time isn't too expensive but do it all at once and you're going to be paying a fair a bit.1 point

Not all mechanics try to shaft you. My local mechanic only charged me $30 to put my car on the hoist and properly adjust my trans fluid level. Well worth it considering the fark around of doing it in the driveway. I can't see anyone charging much just for a diagnosis even if they are charging $100+ p/h.1 point
