  1. Removed N/A BTR last night, I'll install Turbo BTR & Cooper Stall on Friday morning. I have 5L of trans fluid, so I think I'll need to walk to my local repco for more, given I'm draining it and putting a filter kit through it. I'll grab a transmission mount while there. Fitted up my 322mm setup, DBA T3, PMU NS400, PMU GFour fluid. Cheers Aidan & Luke for sorting me with these, now I just need 328mm BF XR6T rears

  7. @trumpy955 yeah I hope everything goes well too Thanks @Camo86T yeah, so it's a hybrid turbo (GTX core in my old housing which has been machined to fit larger GTX wheel) It's a pro-charge special and has been checked over. The power out put is low due to inter cooler limitations The blue power boys have assured me now that I have upgraded my cooler and once I fix trans issues will be seeing awesome power increase on next tune.

  8. Sorry, missed your other post. Will see how it goes once the box gets built. Will probably be pushing just under the 500rwkw mark with the stock motor then have a motor built down the track.

  12. Think im just sh*t at skids (this is only my 3rd RWD and only tried to do it a handfull of times) Plus too scared to do it on public roads I think I can't get the brake/accelerator balance right...like I can get it to spin, but once I change gears it goes funky. I use 2 feet cause not sick karnt. NFI how manual guys balance the 2 pedals on one foot :/ I think I just need more practice and sh*tty tyres that I don't mind ruining And thanks for explaining that black plastic thing LU82!

  14. Ahah how hard you got the brake on? Once it's spinning you don't need much to hold it there. Plus it's boring just sitting there on the brake let it off and have some lols

  15. Have you got some kind of mental problem where you have to constantly change rims?

  16. Thanks mate . I think 3rd is good for around 170kmh so yes I think the tyres are probably doing around 150kmh in the burnout depending on what revs you're holding it at. I start in 1st (obviously turn the traction off) left foot on the brake , shift to 2nd at around 4500rpm then shift from 2nd to 3rd around 5000rpm . Once I'm in 3rd I usually keep the revs around 5000rpm then ease off the brake and as I feel it starting to grip I back off and flick it over to drive. If you want to keep the burnout going just ride the brake . If you're keen shift to fourth and if you really want to break something try 5th lol Obviously the more power you're making the easier it is to pull a higher gear .

  19. Congrats on the fast run LU82....good luck in cracking the top 50! Pretty noob/random question....3rd gear burnout how fast are the tyres spinning? 150kmh+? Do you start in 2nd, then rev to 5k then into 3rd and then 4th? How early are you shifting to keep the burnout going?

  22. I don't think any of us do this for anything other than a hobby. $1000 for a professional knock detection solution is just a waste of money for something I would do in my spare time when I can hook up headphones to the stock sensors/a microphone or use det cans. You do this for money so you easily recover that money and not only that you have a reputation to protect. Also if you pop a motor it isn't yours, we are all tuning our own cars so we can make the call.

  32. I've got it connected to constant power, if it did prove to be an issue I'd move it to accessory power. Considering the phone won't be drawing significant current all the time, just when the battery needs to top up. I did a quick calculation and the car battery should last for a month or so without being driven before it would be flat.

  33. I recently had cms put in a stage 2 gearbox after the standard gearbox stopped working. I thought I had broken the input shaft , but when they pulled the gearbox out the input shaft was in perfect condition . The weld on the basket that the input shaft goes into had failed. Finally made it to WSID last Wednesday night , first time I've run it at this power level. My best run out of the four was 10.8 130mph . I will try and get down there again soon and give it another go.

  35. If you have small 'girly' hands, it can be done without removing stuff but if like me and have large hands removing the battery/air filter box makes it easier on the FG The low beam globes are the ones closest to the radiator and are covered by a dust jacket. Remove that and then you will see a spring clip holding the bulb in place. Take note of how it fits so you put it back properly and unclip it. There are 2 lugs on the globe holder. Grab those with your hand and turn anti clockwise to free the holder..... it may be tight so use your muscles. With the globe holder free, remover the old globe and this is important now -- DO NOT touch the glass of the new globe with your fingers as the oil from your fingers will create a 'hot spot' on it and may shorten its life so use a cupla tissues to hold the globe and insert it into to holder. Refit everything in reverse of what you just did and your done Always a good idea to change both low beam globes at the same time.

  37. Tax variation forms!! Aim to get zero back at tax time, only works if you have a good accountant More cash flow into your bank account through out the year - use it to offset your home loan Savings accounts are rubbish because they just tax your savings as income Should never have a savings account if you have a home loan And yes I know stripes doesn't have a home loan yet.... I'm just sharing my ramblings [emoji13][emoji13]

  38. Claiming that money is because u paid it in the first place out of your tax ? Your only getting back what u paid over the year So put that money into savings account instead of paying it to the ato I'm confused what your saying Ralph Do the ato give u back the money u paid in HECS by accident plus 7% interest or some sh*t ?

  39. Meh, I'd rather the money sitting in my account earning ME interest...rather than my companies (or ATO's) account earning THEM interest.
