  4. From their facebook page: As a few of you have seen we have been working on a twin turbo setup for our customer Steve with his white FG for the last few months, this has been a great project for all of us at the shop which resulted in a new PB of 9.35@157 over the weekend. The car was driven to and from Heathcote park and made several passes through the day, This also moves Steve up to the number 1 spot on our top ten list and resets the ZF MPH record. The car is still running the same engine from the mid 9 second passes we ran 18 months ago for initial testing and will step up to a billet crankshaft engine that is completed on the engine stand after another test session at the track. We are testing a number of new products with this new setup also, 100mm race spec intercooler, Nizpro FG Inlet plenum and our new Billet planetary carrier in the zf transmission to name a few. The engine bay is not fully finished and final painting of boost pipes and so on will be completed when the engines are swapped out. Basic car details, Full weight FG XR6 Turbo, Twin BW EFR 7163 turbos, IRS rear end, Stage 3 Nizpro ZF 6hp26, Circle D Converter and E85 pump fuel.

Congrats with everything so far - hope it comes together for you, gives me confidence to have a crack at building my ZF and worries me my engine looks like yours did before overhaul haha

  14. Not a typo but it was run at Heathcote and Heathcote has been known at times to inflate MPH figures

  18. Thanks Bellbat, you know how much I appreciate your feedback!! Trana they were torqued to the ARP Specs which is 100ftlb The gasket and fire rings are made by Ridgecrest Still using Gulf Western mate, no issues as yet.. Gaz, that's correct mate, 35.8-14.7 = 21.1psi Where did you see 18*? It's sitting nicely at 20.5* (the green line in the 2nd chart) As for MBT, everyone has their own way, but I smooth it and if running e85 it will need to be raised to achieve your targets in the Borderline table I took her out for a thrashing last night, took on board some very key tips from Bellend with some great results, let's just say it has no problems pulling through 3-4-5-6, why do our speedo's max out at 260? Very happy with the car overall still, I'm going to take a further look into the gasket, I'm doubting that the head was lifting, I think it was probably more just passing water, possibly need a different sealant, and a re-torque...

  20. Hey joe gotta start somewhere so on the constructive side take these into consideration for next time Don't for the love of god use ET's on the dyno lol A good rim tyre combo will prove more than enough, something like your front's would of been fine The power your making the 15/16/17 km/per sec ramp rate is fine but with a good rim and tyre and strapped for "some" movement, locking it down hard has a negative effect, it's supposed to move up on the front roller at least a bit The key is to have the tyre psi/straps/ramp rate all at a point where it's maximised ( so higher psi/tight as possible with allowing some movement and the ramp rate that works the car as had as it can without inducing spin ) takes a few pulls to get sorted sometimes so on E85 where was your initial lambda target and where did u want it to end up ? Edit: just seen your lambda end, u know why u have lifted the head don't you ? U see the target white line, u should of been much closer to that in the deep end at least

  21. Alrighty, it was a roller coaster of emotions on the dyno yesterday the first run up was with the exact same tune that was used during the 136, 138, and 140mph passes, which produced 426rwkw, with a very similar torque curve.. It peaked at 22psi and dropped to 19psi with AFR's hovering around 12.3-12.4 3-4 runs after that the radials were starting to work lol, you could hear them pelting off pebble sized balls of rubber all over the room, they were exactly how they came off after the drags, so they had about 16psi in them, I pumped them up to 26psi and it was blazing the tyres, they ended up at 20psi as a compromise The car was loaded up more then it ever has been, 1) you could hear it 2) I had to alter the injector slope quite abit to achieve the target lambda at wot.. We started with the ramp rate at 15km/h, because any lower and it would blaze the tyres, tried some higher and there was only a few kW different, so I thought loaded up the most would be best So on the low boost setting of the e-boost it ended up with 448rwkw @5500rpm this shows boost in the bottom chart this shows Torque in the bottom chart peak Torque is 765.2ftlb @4700rpm it's just on 1000nm @3800rpm It was consistant with only a few HP differences between 3 back to back runs, I'm quite confident at this stage, thinking I just need to turn it up abit and my 500rwkw goal isn't too far away.... Nope the yucky part, any more boost and the head was lifting, it would come on strong to 27psi but drop off to 21 by the end of the run and not making much more power.. initially I thought it was the actuator failing, so I got dad to stick his head in the engine bay for a run, he could hear a hissing sound and actually see the coolant seeping from the gasket, we then noticed small spots of coolant on the floor and even some on the windscreen of the car... it's strange as like I've said previously, I've had it sitting happily (well I thought so) at 30-28psi on the street... Possibly because of how much it was loaded up compared to the street? I'm aware that leaning it out can help with this, but I tried this on the low boost setting and it wasn't making much more power, but lost abit of torque, I like torque Anyway, I'm going to re-torque the head to start with and have another crack There's probably more info, but I had a big night last night and my brain is struggling this morning! Thanks guys, Constructive feedback welcome as always

  22. Got a bit done over the last few weeks. Fitted the technico billet tail shaft coupling a while back and its held up so far, the washers they now supply with it seem to do the job. The only noticable change in NVH is you can hear when the gearbox loads/unloads any driveline slack when under 10-20km. Leveled out the ride height a bit. Raised the front coil overs and lowered the rear a bit by removing the helper leaf springs. Also cut the front caltrac bracket to give some more clearance. Then added some more black to the bay.

  25. Only 1 place I go and that's CMS http://www.cmssydney.com.au/ see Joe or Jason. A lot of members use CMS. Price it all comes down to how much are you willing to spend and what power levels you're after. Deep pockets big power, small pockets small power. spend around 5-6k and you'll getting low 300+ that's CMS doing all the work. Parts look no further than Kev from Process West all good quality and David KPM. Process West - http://www.processwest.com.au/ KPM - http://www.kpmauto.com/ All the best mate you'll never look back once you have more power its the best and you'll always want more.
