Even though alot of aftermarket pumps run more line pressure then a std one this is not why it happened.

This was just a bad instalation.

Not entirely.   When the convoluted hose is taken off and re- installed it needs a clamp to ensure it stays put.  That sort of sloppy work can cost an engine.

no it was $2500 for a custom tune that included a fuel pump upgrade

for $2500 I expected better but wasn't charged to fix the problem which was their mistake. this sort of thing happens when you get the boy to do it and not check his work.
