My BA XR6T needs new shockies. I have looked at a Bilstein set for $1,000 which I am sure are good but what are other people using and how do they perform?

I am mainly looking to reduce body roll (so perhaps I should be looking at sway bars too) and I still want a reasonably compliant ride.

I am not looking for 'track performance' just a little more precision in handling and less body roll.

What are other members doing and what do they find to be good for them, please?

No stinging out around here....(approximate prices last time I checked)

Monroe GT Shocks...apparently slightly better than OEM ($500)

XYZ....good ($1.2k)

Koni Reds....good ($1k)

Bilstein....good ($1k)

Tein....great ($1.6k - think its $2.4k for the interior adjustment thing EFD?)

Pedders XA....great ($1.8k or maybe its $2.4k?)

Shockworks....great ($2k)

That's my belief of the ranking system....there's one more that I realised hasn't been discussed which is the BC BR Coilovers. I remember they were all the rave when I had a Nissan Stagea....only realised last night they make a falcon kit for $1.4k. But dont think I've read any reviews on it yet....

There's obviously some other cheapo fleabay crap around....but NFI if they would even be better than OEM lol I.e. optimo, ksport, and some other sh*t one :P

Fair and how I would rank that list peter

We've fitted everything and nearly anything on the BA falcon and as far as shocks/coils go the bilstein kings combo is a winner

But

For the one most singe item a BA needs is a whiteline swaybar... Hands down completely transforms how the car turns in and steering wheel feed back

I was told that the swaybar upgrade doesn't really help the fg much but as I said, I was only told this..... I havent been in an fg with them so not sure

The feel from a front sway bar added to a B series is 10/10

The feel from a rear sway bar added to a B series is 4/10

FG's do not need any aftermarket sway bars IMHO

I know you are leaning towards the Billys but just in case you go the Shockworks route, Brett from Shockworks has advised me that his stuff is designed for maximum grip with the standard sway bars in mind.
