The XR6T I just got was said to come with extended warranty till july next year, but my local ford dealer cant find it by the vin (got no reg, got it heaps cheaper), do they need the reg number?

It was bought and serviced at Bayford Coburg, any ideas?

wish I had read this thread before I bought my XR6T........

bought a one year old BFII XR6T (two years left on factory warranty) and took out a three year extension so it is covered to 2013. As I do a lot of kms I also went for the 200 000km option. Car can be serviced wherever and it looks like it covers everything the factory warranty does.

sounds good but after reading some of the posts here I reckon the $2900 I paid is too much....

what do you guys think?

I suppose the real test of any warranty is how they handle claims

According to ford my diff bushes need repairing/replacing. The car is still under extended new car warranty but Ford claim that it is invalid because I didn't transfer the warranty within a month after I bought the car from the previous owner. Is this BS? I've looked at the handbook and it says nothing of this.
