Hey all, im half way through the conversion I think. I’ve got the box and motor In the car taken out the old body loom, need to go pick the new one up tomorrow. But that’s all I need to get the car running right? At the moment I have: -engine/zf6 -engine/box loom (body loom picking up tomorrow) -same ecu that matches the tcm -tailshaft Some people are saying that I need to get the key reprogrammed, need to change the pedal box aswell plus floor plate. Am I able to get some expertise advice on how to crack on with this. It’s only been about 30 hrs since I’ve started and need to get it done asap… Thanks to all

I was wondering if it was possible and what can I do to turn a b series xr6t into a n/a other than the obvious?

Hi guys, ive recently purchased a 2009 FG XR6 in dash green, and I am wondering whether a catback exhaust system is worth it, and will I have any issues from the police as a p plater. I was thinking of purchasing this exhaust (https://www.deaperformance.com.au/p/Store-Wide-Sale-Excluding-XForce/Falcon-FG-XR6-Sedan-2.5-Inch-Catback-Exhaust-Syste/ST219HD-246D-TIPS) , and I am wondering whether it is legal for p platers as it is illegal to have performance enhancing mods, and I don't know whether the police consider it is a performance modification, due to it not actually being an engine mod and wont do anything but make the car sound a bit better. if that's not a good exhaust could you recommend any others. Thanks.

Hey guys, hope this can be of help to someone out there. 5 months ago my housemates 09 n/a xr6 5 speed started slipping gears, as most, if not all of you who have had the displeasure of owning one of these time bombs know, the day of the glittery oil pan had come and his 5 speed sh*tbox had come to an end. Myself being an apprentice at the local ford service centre saw this as an opportunity to learn what's involved with a 6 speed conversion. To begin with I already knew on the 6 speed the TCM (trans control module) was built into the box, therefore didn't need any extra plug into the ECU whereas on the 5 speed it didn't have the TCM built in, so it did need the extra plug. We bought a 2012 mk2 6 speed with the tailshaft (slightly shorter than the 5 speed), shift linkage on the side of the box, engine wiring loom, trans cooler and ecu from a wreckers, we fitted all the parts and found that that the holes to bolt the flex plate (also known as flywheel on manual) to the torque converter were 20mm inwards, after a quick ebay search we found the 4 speed and 6 speed have the same flex plate whereas the 5 speed is different, after fixing that and getting it all together the car wouldn't start, we took it to my work and attempted to program it, we had a few codes but the one that stuck out was for the IC (instrument cluster), which was for incorrect vehicle speed input, after that we were stumped, we then searched around everywhere and couldn't find any threads on a conversion being done, we rang a shop in baccus marsh (GW auto care 0455 781 227) who specialise in falcons and fords, who were the only people that genuinely wanted to help us and were very friendly, they told us we need to change the loom that goes from the bottom of the engine bay fuse panel (we changed whole fuse panel) to the back of the interior fuse panel and the loom the plugs into the top front of the engine bay fuse panel and runs around the front of the car all the way to the inside of the passenger footwell (need to take front bumper and both front inner gaurds to access (which is not easy to maneuver but is possible, goodluck), the car finally started, it drives but won't come out of 1st, when shifting to sports, the D symbol on the dash doesn't change to S and doesn't change to 1 or 2 when you shift up or down when at a stop, hope this has helped someone and if anyone can help us get her shifting it would be much appreciated, this is my first post and hopefully not my last, please be kind I'm not an expert so please correct me if I've said anything wrong and please be free to ask questions. HI, I have a question which noone including google is not able to answer. Torque Management or Torque reduction. Is it active in the pcm on a 02 ba running a BTR trans. If so, how does it measure torque output?

Hey Lads, New to this site, looks awesome Just over 12 months ago I traded in my 2011 FG2 XR6 N/A in on a VF2 SS. Very bad decision and long story short I'm now back to a 2013 FG2 XR6 N/A. My old XR6 was an ex Highway Patrol in WA, which meant it was a tad lower than stock. I want my new XR6 to be the same as it was a good height for it to look good and just a bit different however it wasn't too low. I do a lot of country driving for work and one of the highways is terrible I think I'll bottom out if I get it too low. I have a feeling my old falcon was only lowered in the back however I remember I always had to go sideways down kerbs because the front would always scrape so I'm not too sure. I know it had king springs on it but I don't know if it had upgraded shocks too or not. My old one looked mean from the back and you could tell the difference between mine and a stock one quite easily. A setup I have been thinking about is the King springs Lowered EHD Coils KFRL-68SSLHD? without shocks just in the rear and leave the front? I think they're meant to be 30mm lower than stock? What you guys think? I would like to avoid the shocks if possible just because I'm not looking to spend heaps. Just chasing some advice on what the setup may have been and whether I do need to get shocks as well or not. Cheers Guys

Hi All, Still being a newbie I just had a question to ask. Are the rear shocks as simple to change as I think they are. Is it basically just remove the tire to get it out of the way, basically a nut at the top of the shock and a nut at the bottom or something along those lines ?? Instead of paying a mechanic I wanna try it myself, mates have told me its piss easy, should be a good experience for me.

Hi, I am looking to purchase an 03 N/A BA xr6, -5 speed manual -Black -Pacemaker extractors -Pod Filter -Slotted Rotors -FPV Rims and steering wheel -Herrod front grill -Twin tip exhaust -Is set up to run nos -Flash tuner with 3 tunes, one labelled as C&V Tune - GJA-240 I'm looking to see if anyone has any knowledge on the background of this car or what work has been done. Its too quick to have stock internals but I'm not sure. Thanks!

Is it possible to put a 6 speed zf auto from a xr6 turbo in a N/a xr6?

HEY GUYS! love this site. Well im new and im new to ford, just bought a brand new xr6 2012 mkII 6 speed manual sedan for $33 500, 21kms on it straight out of factory.. Its fast, but im noticing it stutters, like it wants to go harder but the mods it got are limiting it, now I dont know anything about fords, im skyline fan. lol But what should I get for it? I heard K&N fliters and cold air intake, new exhast 2.5 cat back, a tune and I was told a underpully doesnt do anything :S and that's all I know. Any ideas? im all ears and I want to learn this car I got the cash easy blow 20k on it lol fcking love it so fcking much. Kinitic Blue paint. By the way cuz its new, if I mod it, will the warrianty get voided? Thanks guys!!! P plater by the way...
