  1. Thanks for the kind words Dazza Some simple stuff but interesting all the same for me last week starting with @Roo32 coming in for a service,Jonny Tig 4* race intake and battery relocation kit and aftermarket pipe kit all in black Had Ben in for a service and turbo swop as the old 100,000km factory turbo had developed the "death rumble" so just a changeover with a FG mk2 factory turbo so like for like, took a video for the peps who don't know what that sounds like then I've finalised @pro_xw98's engine build and is ready to install, the pictures just don't do it justice imho new water pump and pulleys, engine mounts new sensors to go in also Alex had the new CRG lowmount HPC coated with the new rear housing and looks schmick

  6. First time in a long time that I've had a chance to give it a wash. The car gets a lot of looks since this IC went in, not necessarily what I was after but it's definitely cool as hell. For anyone considering the same IC/piping kit, the standard intake won't fit at all and the Herrod intake hits the top radiator mount (as it gets shifted back to fit the IC) and will need to be modified slightly to fit correctly. Still loving this power, I've switched tunes a few times but the 335kw track tune is definitely my favorite. Has the best throttle response and torque delivery. IMS diff had is going well too, I used OE side bushes so there is no increase in NVH.

So turns out I can tune a 44 MAGNUM Dirty Harry spec when the need arises hahaha wifey @Frederick took me out for my birthday today and after knocking a few balls down at the driving range it was time to put x4 Hand guns through their paces at the city shooting range. Had a blast (pun) working the 9mm semi automatic Glock, 45mm semi automatic Glock, 357 Magnum and 44 Magnum Good times I tell ya

  17. Morning all. OT: for me or the day: Have had troubles with my back after surgery for ages and done the exercise, expensive bed thing, inversion table, doctors, "alt" practices etc but it still causes me grief. No idea why, but thursday I wondered how it'd go in a hammock, so 10 mins later I ducked off to Anaconda and $140 later came home with a hammock and frame. Fark me - best sleep I've had in years and woke up feeling the freshest and most pain free I've been in probably half a decade. A quickgoogle to see if anyones else had mentioned using a "hammock as a bed" and yep - there's dozens of us out there Mostly with the same findings as what I had. Not ready to ditch the bed yet, but imagine how much more room for games there'd be without the queen sized bed in the room

  20. Paul it's been an absolute pleasure being able to turn your car into what it should have been from the Get Go and it's nothing short of unacceptable they way it came to me after you've paid top dollar to a previous workshop, they maybe a leader in Holden/HSV's but definitely haven't got the falcon platform sorted out ! It's terrible when customers think their car has to be so poorly running and decide to park it up as they just can't rely or deal with it anymore on the flip side its now driving better than new with more power than ever and looks like a brand new car with that detail work Matty from DetailX has done so props to him there looking forward to the next stage buddy

  23. Hey Paul I think I might of sorted that for you Many moons ago Paul came to me for a full T3 brake package and since then we had discussed the possibility of him ditching the ol SCT X4 for the HP tuners method but I believe back then the X4 was just more practical for him and his options. Fast Ford (pun) and off the back of his last upgrade (due to a turbo failure) the tune just wasn't up to par and a fair list of unacceptable conditions were going on with his swish G6ET.... long story short Paul @Boostn pulled the pin and got me to "sort her out" and indeed I believe I have. some of the typical issues seen by some are super lumpy idle, slow and sluggish, stalling, excess fuel consumption, erratic gear shifts, high base idle and so on removing the raw bosch 1000's and slotting in some latest technology Genuine Injector Dynamics 1050X major engine service major cooling system flush and recharge new coils new battery ZF heat exchanger removal and a trusty JD spec transmission cooler kit full ZF flush and filter replacement removing a leaking factory BOV replacing a bunch of joiners/clamps/leaks and then putting the X4 back to factory and into the redundant box of now shed ornaments she is all ready to hit the dyno and start the detailed process of FULL custom tuning before and after results are pretty amazing and so now is the car, idles better than new, closed loop boost control to 15.5psi full aray of smooth shift points to suit the luxury of the G platform and the aggressiveness of 355rwkw has now made the car a dream and behaves spot on ! mods included ID1050x,Process west stepped intercooler kit,X force 4* dump/cat/3.5 mild steel cat back,walbro460 intank,ss Growler, valvesprings,PWR transmission cooler kit and a GTX wheel turbo upgrade and actuator from Race Equipped then one of my engine bay details before ... After... Now onto the good bits haha

  28. Well, the ex's family finally came and grabbed her furniture and stuff on the weekend. Turns out I don't really own that much (furniture and kitchen utensil wise I mean) and the house was pretty empty afterwards. Was all rather surreal actually. So anyway, I went out and bought myself a new bed, as the ex had a nice comfortable one and I didn't really wanna go back to my old crappy bed and lose my spare/guest bed in the process. Decided my room's big enough, so I'd get a king size...no regrets! It's awesome! And freaky will be happy, because headboard. The base also lifts up on gas struts, so there heaps of storage underneath. Also, not sure if I posted when I did this, but ripped out the old shower curtain in my ensuite and put in a shower screen. Was a $200 cheapy from Bunnings, but it's immensely better than having a shower curtain and makes the room feel a lot nicer.

  31. Bit of an experiment tonight... tried to take photos as I went through... so here goes ... It's stuffed oven baked Italian chicken breast. Firstly we decided aaron would have ham and cheese and I would have speck bacon, caramelised onion and cheese... started by doing the onions slowly with a bit of butter and sugar Then I cut up mozzarella, got some great quality ham and speck and got the Neapolitan sauce ready... and prepped the chicken breasts by removing the tenders and the sinue and cutting a slot down the centre of each breast. Big ones work the best Then I wrapped the mozzarella in ham/speck and stuffed it in the breast, then in mine I put the onions as well ... Then put through a flower, egg and Panko crumb process like a schnitzel... then shallow fry just to brown... Before frying I also put about 3/4 of the sauce in the bottom of a baking dish... ready for the breasts to go into... after lightly patting with paper towel I put them into the tray with the sauce and then put the rest of the sauce on top of each one followed by some greated Pecorino cheese This is after about 20 mins oven time, still in now, but they need probably 35-40 on 180 depending on the size of the breasts I'm sure jet will update if it's good or not [emoji23]

  32. So I met Aaron about 2 years ago when did the brakes on my car. I was having issues even back then with car stalling and running like dog sh*t. Aaron offered to fix her up and was confident he could sort out the old girl. I was hesitant as I preferred SCT and ability to change tunes. (Even though I always ran on hi boost). I was taking the car to one bigger name tuners at the time and thought I'd just get them to sort it out. After about 5-6 visits I got over it and cbf anymore so just put up with running like sh*t. I ended buying a kluger and car sat in shed. So fast forward a year I thought I <3 Bananas it I'll give Aaron a crack at as he was confident he would sort her out. I've had the car now for a few days. Car so well behaved now. No idle issues and no stalling. Drives like a stock car until you put your footdown. Absolute beast when boost comes on pulls like train. We do have one issue which Aaron will sort out for me soon.(not Aarons fault). I wish I had but the bullet earlier got Arron to fix it. Car had 354kw at one stage from previous tuner at 18psi. We now make 355kw with 15.5. I can tell you this the 355kw it makes now is sh*t loads faster and smoother. So I think previous tuner must had a happy Dyno. All in all Aaron is champ and explains everything. Work is nothing but top notch and personalised service is nothing what the big shops can offer. Now we need a tailshaft and fix the little issue happy days!

  35. 20's won't give you grip, it's tyre choice and width man. You might even find there is actually more grip with an 18" of the same width and tyre model due to increased sidewall giving a bit more flex! Also the ride feel on ultra low profile sucks ass if you don't have really smooth roads.

  38. So, I'm BACK! I finally decided it was time to mod the old girl. I dropped my '10 F6 that has 160,000km on the clock into ASG Motorsports on the Gold Coast for Aaron to finish what I started, and tune the old girl. I did the following... Tog 4" exhaust 460 intank pump 1125cc injectors Plaz 1000hp cooler kit Plaz Cai Plaz Battery relo Ported exhaust housing 12.5psi actuator Hi-Flow thermo ASG did the following... Turbo Oil feed line Tranny cooler ZF steel pan and service Plaz HD valve springs Then we encountered a problem. My exhaust cam was rooted. The usual FG wear, so I decided to go Atomic Stage 4. We've had some discussion (aaron my tuner, and I) and seeing as though the car has 160,000 on the clock and we've put HD valve springs in, now might be a good time to replace the cam chain, tensioner & sprocket. Seeing as though the front cover needs to come off to do this, we're going to do the oil pump gears too. Whats peoples thoughts on anything else being done while it's apart? The only other thing I can think of was maybe head studs, in case I decide to push the power up in the future?

  40. I was filling up with E85 and a typical coastie gentleman come up and say "Oh that ethanol is no good for your car, it'll rust through your fuel tank, clog your injectors and loose power. should be running 98 only" Ok champ Explain how I make your entire engines power extra on e85 than 98. Silly people

  44. Look what just turned up in time for the weekend seems a shame to ditch the cooler, looks like it would do the business but I'm happy cos this card will never get over heated (as long as the pump doesn't fail) and of course there's the silence might have to buy one of these so I can see the coolant inside the GPU cooler http://eu.coolermaster.com/en/case/case-accessories/vertical-graphics-card-holder-kit/
